One of our installers joined Energyrent As and Cipe to install a seawater exchanger. The plant had reduced efficiency. Due to clogging from algae, dirt, mucus and other things that had accumulated in the heat exchanger. This resulted in poor cooling and higher energy consumption. This led to inefficient operation and increased maintenance costs.
After an assessment, CIP (Clean-In-Place) cleaning of the seawater exchanger was carried out. Using customized cleaning methods, we removed organic matter, slime and limescale deposits that were blocking the flow in the system, restoring the heat exchanger's full efficiency.
After the CIP cleaning, the customer noticed a significant improvement in the cold transfer and a more stable operation of the system. The efficiency of the seawater exchanger was restored, resulting in lower energy consumption, reduced maintenance costs and more reliable operation.
